BCB Monitoring Developments Closely

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has taken note of the situation. They confirmed that they are conducting a separate internal inquiry.

While no action has been taken yet, the board made it clear that such allegations are concerning, especially when they involve a player of Taskin’s stature.

"I saw the news in the media this morning. Our officials, Aminul Islam Bulbul and Fahim [Nazmul Abedin] bhai, have also seen it. An investigation is already underway. If this really happened, it is very unfortunate. Icon players should not be involved in such matters. I don’t want to comment further until we know exactly what happened," BCB Director and Chairman of the Umpires Committee, Iftekhar Rahman Mithu, said as quoted to Cricfrenzy.
