Ravindra Jadeja added another feather to his cap at Edgbaston. He scored a fighting half-century against England in the ongoing second Test of the series. He joined an elite list of Indian batters with the most fifty-plus scores at this venue.
Jadeja came in to bat with India in trouble at 211/5 post-tea on Day 1. Batting with Shubman Gill, he mixed caution with calculated aggression to guide India out of a precarious position with a 203-run partnership.
This was not the first time Jadeja had impressed at Edgbaston. In 2022, he had scored a memorable 104. That century had come under pressure too, and with this latest half-century, he has now registered his second fifty-plus score at this ground.
