Sanjay Manjrekar noted that India wasn’t even at their best during their second win over Pakistan in the Super 4s clash at Dubai. He praised the depth of India’s squad across all departments and their ability to take control of games even when not firing on all cylinders.

Manjrekar: “India Wasn’t Even at Their Best”

India once again humbled Pakistan, defeating them by 6 wickets. The batters stepped up, led by Abhishek Sharma’s match-winning fifty, supported by Shubman Gill and Tilak Varma, especially on a rare off day for the bowling unit. Notably, Jasprit Bumrah ended up being India’s most expensive bowler in the match.

“India wasn’t at their best, clearly. I mean, just imagine Bumrah being India’s most expensive bowler. He had an off day, India dropped three catches, so they were well below their best — and despite that, they won comfortably against Pakistan,” Manjrekar said in a video posted on Instagram.

Big Gap in Skill and Depth” – Manjrekar on IND vs PAK

He also touched on the gap in quality between India and Pakistan, crediting India’s superior skill and depth, though acknowledging slight improvements in Pakistan’s performance.

“It again shows the big gap between India and Pakistan just in sheer ability and skills. Happy for Pakistan — they were slightly better, so there was some spark there — but you could see how the Indian bowlers still managed to claw things back. Why? Because there wasn't depth in Pakistan’s batting. And in the end, Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, the way Tilak Varma finished — it’s just a limitless supply of exceptional players.”

He concluded by emphasizing India’s superiority in the T20I format, underlining their dominance regardless of form.

“So, yeah, India, even in that match when they were not at their best, still showed all of us how much, how superior they are.” Manjrekar concluded
