As per recent reports in Times of India, former Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha is likely to become a national selector and join the Ajit Agarkar-led national selection committee. The development comes a day after Agarkar’s contract was extended till June 2026.

The BCCI is reportedly happy with how Agarkar has operated as the national selector. The T20 World Cup 2024 and ICC Champions Trophy success in 2025 has further enhanced his reputation as the chairman of selectors.
