The Indian Women's Cricket team posted an imposing 337-run total in 50 overs against South Africa Women, powered by a scintillating 123 runs from Jemimah Rodrigues (123 runs off 101 balls) and a resolute 93 runs from Deepti Sharma (93 runs off 84 balls) in the fifth match of the Sri Lanka Women's Tri-Nation Series 2025.
The duo’s 122-run partnership for the fifth wicket was the cornerstone of India’s commanding total, setting a steep challenge for South Africa in their pursuit of a spot in the final.
South Africa opted to bowl first at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and took advantage of their decision, taking India’s three wickets in the powerplay in the form of Pratika Rawal (1 run off 5 balls), Harleen Deol (4 runs off 5 balls), and Harmanpreet Kaur (28 runs off 20 balls).

Smriti Mandhana (51 runs off 63 balls) stitched an 88-run partnership with Jemimah Rodrigues to lead India’s fightback.
Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma Demolish South Africa
After Mandhana’s dismissal to Chole Tyron in the 24th over, Deepti joined Rodrigues at the crease.
Rodrigues was in sublime touch, scoring her second ODI century. Deepti, batting at six, played the perfect foil, contributing a gritty 93 runs off 84 balls. Falling agonizingly short of a century, her innings ensured India maintained momentum.
The Rodrigues-Deepti partnership not only rescued India from a precarious position but also exposed South Africa’s bowling frailties. In the end, the Women in Blue finished at 337 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs.
