Bevon Jacobs' family members were caught in a dilemma about which team to support after the batter made his international debut against South Africa, representing New Zealand. The Jacobs family moved to New Zealand at the age of just three. The youngster was born in Pretoria but raised in New Zealand.
Receiving his maiden cap from Jimmy Neesham, the 23-year-old shared how special it was to make his debut for the Black Caps. The right-hand batter also stated how his family members joked about which team to support as the Kiwis clashed against the Proteas in Harare in a T20I game.
"It's one of those moments you dream of as a kid. To finally stand there next to my teammates and hear the national anthem, with my family in the crowd, it was very special," Jacobs said after the match.
